Meet Representative Jay Reedy
Jay Reedy is a decorated veteran and proven conservative leader with a strong record of standing up for Tennessee values. Now, he’s running for Congress to bring that same fight to Washington and represent the people of Tennessee’s 7th District with integrity, strength, and unwavering commitment to the Constitution.

First elected to the Tennessee House of Representatives in 2014, Reedy made history as the first Republican to win the 74th District since reconstruction. Over the past decade, he has earned a reputation as a tireless advocate for limited government, secure borders, lower taxes, and the protection of individual freedoms. From banning sanctuary cities, to blocking foreign adversaries like China from purchasing Tennessee farmland, Reedy has never shied away from a tough fight—and he’s delivered results.
Reedy served the U.S. Army as an enlisted soldier in the Signal Corps with the 101st Airborne Division and later received an Army Reserve Commission from Austin Peay State University ROTC. He would later become an executive officer with the 100th Army Reserve Training Division in Kentucky.
Receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, Reedy would also go on to become a certified locksmith, small business owner and Master Beef Producer certified cattle farmer on a fourth-generation family farm in rural Tennessee.
Since 1986, Reedy has been a proud life member of the National Rifle Association, as well as a life member of the Tennessee Firearms Association, and the North American Hunting Club since 1985.
He is married to Vickie Reedy, who is a high school educator, and they have three children. The Reedy Family are members of the Erin Church of Christ.
